Underwriting Funnel & Hit-Ratio Monitor · Wisdom notebook
Ask the follow-up.
Agentic conversational BI · one continuous thread across the submission-to-bind funnel.
Before I dig anywhere, which producers are sending us the most submissions this window?
RKRanked total submission volume by producer over the governed PAS + agency-management book, so I can see where capacity is being spent before judging where it converts.
Submission volume is spread across all eight producers, led by the big wholesale channels — CRC_Group and AmeriTrust_Retail send the most, Jencap and Burns_Wilcox the least:
The two biggest channels also post the lowest producer hit ratios (CRC_Group 7.7%). That's not a conversion problem — it's what they write. Hold that thought for the mix question.
Is quote rate consistent across the book, or are some programs getting quoted far less than others?
RKPulled quote rate (quotes ÷ submissions) per program and scored each against the book's 55.7% level; the spread is well inside any credibility band.
Quote rate is remarkably uniform — every program quotes within a tenth of a point of 55.7%. This is a well-run intake; nothing is being under-quoted:
Quote rate carries no signal here — it's flat across every program. If conversion differs by program, it happens downstream of the quote, not at the intake.
Pull the funnel for our best converter — does WineRe convert cleanly all the way through?
RKRebuilt the submission → quote → bind → new-business funnel for WineRe across the portfolio; this is the shape to deploy capacity toward.
WineRe is the reference for a strong converter — same 55.8% quote and 41.6% bind as the rest of the book, but the richest new-business conversion at 10.7%:
hit ratio · WineRe (portfolio) 10.7%
Same funnel shape as everything else through the bind step — WineRe's edge is purely that more of its quotes convert to new business (19.2% vs the book's ~14%). That's the appetite worth more capacity.
